This is a peacock sitting on a fence bordering the Pittsburgh Zoo. From tip to tail she's (he's?) probably six to seven feet long. A huge, beautiful bird. Occasionally she'd call to other birds -- a loud, raspy cry that had to be 100 decibels...
These clouds are artifically darkened just a bit, but about ten minutes after I took this photo, rain came down in buckets for half an hour.
